Child abuse flick screens with actors involved

New Iranian flick 'The Dark Room' themed on child abuse has been screened for public audience with starring actors in attendance. 

Iranian actors Sareh Bayat and Saed Soheili attended a recent public screening at cineplex in Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The flick is themed on the under-represented issue of child abuse and highlights the importance of giving public awareness on such critical issue through the medium of cinema.

Directed by Rouhollah Hejazi, the film presents a new chapter of Farhad and Haleh’s life. The couple has recently moved to a new building. The social drama narrates the story of the young couple and their 5-year-old son, Amir.

Amir is lost in the desert just in front of the building, however, his parents find him soon. But then, Amir tells his father someone has abused him and that makes Farhad very upset.

The troubled father is now looking for a suspect who has harassed his little boy.
